After receiving your order it will take about 3 to 4 weeks to have your flute made. Dwight says "My flutes are a labor of love and my goal as a flute maker is to create flutes of high quality craftsmanship and resonance. Each Creation Flute is handcrafted from wood that I hand select for its unique characteristics. I start with two pieces of wood, rout them out, glue them  together and hand shape the exterior creating its own natural contour. I use all natural environmentally safe, non toxic products to seal and finish, then tune them to 440 Hz. When I am pleased with the flutes appearance and performance I sign and date it."

Walt's Note: Quiet Bear Native American flutes are wonderful, bright & responsive. A custom made Quiet Bear Native American flute is the favorite of my personal collection.

Jan Michael Looking Wolf's  Note: "Native American Flutes by Dwight are tuned as close to "perfect" as one can get. A Loud, Clear Voice and great playability in the full pentatonic range is just standard for his flutes. As a recording artist and performer, I know that I can rely on flutes by Dwight to be a quality instrument. In addition, his heart and gentleness shines like a bright star through his flutes. His flutes are currently being recorded for my next CD."

A note about "Native American flutes": Just as a "French horn" is a particular type of musical instrument, "Native American flute" refers to a particular type of musical instrument and does not imply that it was made by an enrolled member of a federally-recognized tribe. Although Dwight's flutes are used and endorsed by prominent Native American musicians, Quite Bear flutes are not "Native American made."
